A Great Camping Recipes For That Fish You Caught!
“Fins in Foil”
There are some great camping recipes for that fish your going to catch! Here's one of our favorites...and quite easy!
Simply, take the fish you caught (bass, bluegill, crappie, grouper, snapper, etc.), fillet it*. Split into 4 equal size portions. Place the fillets on 4 sheets of heavy duty foil.
Evenly divide the ingredients listed below, over the four fillets. Add a tablespoon of butter, or olive oil, and season with garlic salt and black pepper (you can also use dill, oregano or basil, etc.). Add lemon juice evenly over fillets (usually ¼ cup to a pound of fillet). Some folks also like to add an onion slice on top before completely wrapping up the catch in the foil.
If you are cooking over hot coals, allow up to 30 minutes. If you are using the portable grill allow 5 to 7 minutes on each side or until fish flakes with fork.

Fish fillet(s)
2 tablespoon olive oil or butter
